Training “Stepping up foreign language learning and teaching”

Tallinn University 26.09.2022 - 27.09.2022

NB! PLACES ARE FULL!

The one-and-a-half-day training event in Tallinn aims to gather language teachers and school staff to reflect on language teaching and learning.

The aim is to get new ideas, methodological and practical tools on how to best teach and support learners in a changed classroom, which among other things is multilingual and multicultural and has also moved to the learners’ homes via hybrid lessons. It is also important to take into account the non-traditional learning spaces experienced through learning mobility or international cooperation. The event will discuss the best ways to support learners in improving their language skills.

Programme:

In the first day, we will look into how we can make use of content and language integrated learning (CLIL) through mobility. We will also explore what is the future of language education in the light of Covid – what are the lessons learned and ways forward? We will get a closer look at the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages Companion Volume, focusing on the concepts of Mediation and Plurilingualism. There will also be a networking session for all the participants to find new ideas and contacts for future Erasmus+ projects.

In the second day, we will focus on good practises. In workshops, participants can learn from the best practices of their European colleagues.
