Good to know

The Agency consists of the Center for Educational Programs, the Center for Youth Programs, the Contracts and Monitoring Office, and the Marketing Office. In addition, our staff also includes a quality manager, a quality specialist, a financial manager and a financial specialist.

In 2021, Erasmus + and the European Solidarity Corps Agency joined the Education and Youth Board. In essence, the Agency is the bearer of the continuity of the Archimedes Foundation, which has been the national Agency for education and youth programs in the European Union since 1997.

As an agency, we are a valued assistant to all those institutions in the field of education and youth, where international cooperation and thus the strengthening of Estonia’s competitiveness and the development of the field of education and youth are emphasized.

We support learning mobility for young people and adults, development in the field of education and youth, international cooperation, and projects that contribute to youth participation and society.

We represent Estonia in international networks and cooperate with several partner organizations around the world. In addition to program specialists, the Agency includes Euroguidance, which supports career counselors, Eurodesk, which deals with international youth information, Nordplus, the European Language Learning Certificate, and the SALTO Participation and Information Resource Center.

In its activities, the Agency takes into account the European context and core values and fulfills the goals and priorities of European and Estonian education and youth policy.

Our values and activities:

  • the right of everyone to access the best education, self-development, and social inclusion;
  • providing free learning opportunities through the Erasmus + program in the European Union and beyond;
  • recognition of learning outcomes achieved in different countries;
  • cooperation with recognized schools-universities and the creation of opportunities for international cooperation in the field of education and youth.

In the current program period (2021 - 2027), our focus is on four themes.

Inclusion and diversity

The new programs offer opportunities to people regardless of their economic opportunities, location, special needs, health concerns, social barriers, and other obstacles.

A greener Europe

The idea of a greener Europe is underpinned by greener learning mobility, sustainability projects, and more environmentally friendly and informed education at all levels.

Digital Europe

Digitalization is an important tool for creating a sustainable future and addressing the challenges we face, strengthening cooperation, and creating new opportunities.

Participation in democracy

Raising the awareness of people, especially young people, about democratic processes, increasing their participation both at the local and more general level.
